November 2017: I'll be sending out some scheduled workday dates for the winter season very soon so please keep an eye out for the emails and the website. October 2017: Trail building season is here! This Fall and Winter, we have big plans for creating a bunch of new trails and fixing up existing ones with machines. The cool weather makes it easier to not have to deal with weeds and heat and offers better visibility in identifying new trails and grades. Also, more human resources are available during the off-season. Stay tuned in here for the upcoming workdays and projects. The plan is to get maps and downloadable GPS tracks that can be used on any device or phone, as well as add good signage to indicate direction, exits and levels of difficulty.

NOTE: If you are already registered, your userid is your email and your password is "trailwork". You should login to update your existing profile with specs on your vehicles, preferences, tools, notes, etc. 2nd Saturdays at 2p! As a good starting point, we can target doing trail work on the 2nd Saturday of each month, meeting at 2:00pm at the Sportsman's Lodge. Ideally, in the warmer months, we could also target doing the 4th Saturday of the month since everything grows pretty quickly and storms typically bring down trees and branches. The spring and fall is a great time to do trail work as it is cooler and the leaves have fallen which makes it easier to prune the trees. Social Saturdays! To enjoy the fruits of our labor, we can plan on group rides on the non-work-day Saturdays at noon starting at the Sportsman's Lodge. This will be a great opportunity to meet new neighbors and to show new riders around the trails. This site has a member list and it will handle RSVP invitations for work-days and other events. Click the Sign Up link to get yourself added to the free membership. You will be able to search for other members as well as send emails to them directly for connecting on riding or socially. |
